SYP's second annual gala at Vibiana Place. The
funds SYP raised will be donated to AJWS to provide
a grant to an international relief organization,
working on the ground in Chad, to construct a
water supply and distribution system for a medical
center located in Am Nabak, a village near the

Beit TShuvah held its The Steps
to Recovery Gala on Sunday, January 29 at
the Beverly Hills Hilton. As a gold patron, SYP
received a table at the black tie event celebrating
the successes of their residents, the accomplishments
of their program and most importantly, their honorees
Blair Belcher, Warren Breslow, and the Skirball
Foundation. SYP raised $10,000 for the organization,
at the Society Debut last May. view

| ANGEL'S FLIGHT |

SYP members participated in a holiday dinner
at Angel’s Flight, a shelter in downtown Los Angeles
that provides a safe residence for runaway and
homeless youth. SYP volunteered through LA
Works, a community service outreach program.
Volunteers donated food for the dinner and participated
in various holiday activities with children and
teens. |

The event was a great success, with over 500
people shopping for denim, tops, knits, jewelry
and other accessories. Vendors donated 10% of
their proceeds to the OneFamily Fund, helping
victims of terrorism. $6,000 total was raised
for charity, with $2,000 supporting SYP and $4,000
total donated to OneFamily!

Children Uniting Nations (CUN) is a non-profit
organization dedicated to providing quality mentoring
relationships. Foster care agencies throughout
the greater Los Angeles area are invited to participate
in a fun-filled day including a Dodger baseball
game. |

SYP launched their new organization at a private
estate in Beverly Hills, raising more than $40,000
in ticket sales (after expenses) and up to an
additional $30,000 in sponsorships and donations.
Proceeds from ticket and raffle sales were donated
to three Jewish causes related to disaster relief
(IMA Foundation), education (Magbit Foundation)
and rehabilitation (Beit T'Shuvah) in celebration
of Israel's Independence Day. |
